Anujath has over 28 years of experience in the maritime industry, specializing in marketing and business development. He holds a Diploma in Marketing.
In 1996, Anujath joined McLarens Shipping Ltd. as a Marketing Executive, where he worked with major shipping lines such as MSC, Contship, and Pro Line. During his time at McLarens, Anujath played a key role in promoting and expanding their services.
Eager to take on new challenges, he then joined the agents of Yang Ming Marine Transport Co. as a Senior Marketing Executive. His focus was on developing and growing the Mediterranean service from Colombo. He was instrumental in developing new trade lanes for Yang Ming Marine agents in Colombo.
In the year 2000, Anujath’s passion for the shipping industry led him to join McCallum Shipping (Pvt) Ltd. as a Marketing Manager. Due to his exceptional performance and dedication, he was later promoted to the position of General Manager. During his tenure at McCallum Shipping, Anujath successfully developed the company’s logistics division, with a specific emphasis on the Russia/CIS and USA markets.
He was actively involved in securing NVOCC and Liner agencies. Drawing on his extensive experience and expertise, Anujath made the decision to contribute to his family’s business by joining as a Director.
In this capacity, he oversees the company’s marketing activities and plays a pivotal role in driving business development. Anujath Fernando’s career trajectory showcases his wealth of knowledge and his ability to drive growth in the shipping and logistics industry.
